We're incredibly excited to Introduce to you our newest team member at G&G, Alison.
Some of you have already had the pleasure of meeting Alison in summer but we're delighted to let you know she'll be at the studio from January.
Alison is an exceptionally experienced yoga teacher, she specialises in Yin & Yoga Nidra and is also a Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist. Her background fits our ethos beautifully & offers a supportive space in her teachings.
"I began my regular yoga practice in 2007. Fast forward a number of years and many hours of study and practice, I decided to take the plunge and dive into teacher training in 2014. I'm now a Yoga Alliance Professionals Senior Yoga Teacher and Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist with additional training in yin yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, myofascial release, restorative yoga, trauma-informed yoga and yoga nidra.
I specialise in teaching yin yoga, yoga nidra and more gently styles of yoga with a focus on providing you with plenty of time to rest, relax and take a break from all the busyness, activity and stresses of everyday life. When you come to one of my classes, you'll be encouraged to practise at your own pace and develop your connection between your body, mind and spirit. I hope that I can help you to experience a greater sense of ease and that you leave my classes feeling calm, soothed and refreshed.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy walking with my dogs and husband, swimming for the Leyland Barracudas and making my own clothes."

Yang to Yin Yoga
A gradual shift from your busy day into stillness and a balancing of energy, expect gentle movement towards stillness & the best of both our Foundations & Yin class in one.
Wednesday's 8pm
Morning Yoga
A gentle morning yoga practice with heaps of guidance. Perfect for all who appreciate a slower paced morning that helps to wake up your mind & body. Great for increasing mobility & to start the day feeling refreshed.
Thursday's 9.30am
Alison will also be offering monthly Sunday Morning Yin workshops from February so keep your eyes peeled.
