What to Expect from Therapy

Our initial session, lasting 60 minutes, will focus on understanding the origins of your difficulties and how they are being maintained. From there, we will decide whether CBT, EMDR, or Mindfulness-Based approaches—or a combination—will be most suitable. Each subsequent session will last 60 minutes, except for trauma reprocessing, where 90-minute sessions may be arranged.
During your first appointment, you will be asked to sign a therapy agreement, which will be sent to you to review in advance. Sessions will focus on evidence-based interventions tailored to your concerns, and you may be assigned tasks between sessions to practise new behaviours.
