I had the pleasure of catching up with Helen Worthington this week, a local artists who works in multi media.
I'd been to one of her workshops earlier in the year and loved it!
We're so happy to be bringing you monthly workshops in watercolour, mixed media & acrylics beginning on 25th January with a watercolour experience workshop.
Her work is beautiful and her workshops are so accessible to delve into creativity.
I'm always talking about how important creativity is, its a gateway to the present and a shaping tool we can utilise to return a sense of wellbeing.
So it's not surprising to learn that creativity lives in our pre frontal cortex (the front of the brain 🧠) which is where we aim our neurological activity when we meditate! 🤯 Right!? Imagine all the benefits of meditation while leaning into play & creation!
And if that's not convinced you, creativity is in our very nature, even those who believe they're not creative. We developed into the humans we are today because of our natural capacity for creative thinking.... Think of the tools we first created to hunt! How did we think to put a sharp stone on the end of a stick? That wouldn't of happened of we weren't all naturally creative beings.
So if you'd like to explore play & experience what watercolours can create, come and join Helen as she guides you through some beautiful creations!
You can book your space here
Here's a little preview of what you can expect from our January workshop ✨🎨
I'll be joining this workshop & I can't wait to dive in!
With Gratitude,
Katie
