Give yourself the gifts of rest and relaxation in this extended two-hour class combining two gentle yet powerful practices - yin yoga and yoga nidra. Yin yoga is a still and quiet practice which provides the perfect antidote to busy lifestyles and complements more active (‘yang’) forms of yoga and exercise. By holding poses for a number of minutes, you work the deeper tissues of the body; the connective tissue, fascia and ligaments, and stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system which helps to reduce tension, increase flexibility and soothe your body, mind and spirit. After the yin practice, you’ll be treated to a relaxing yoga nidra (yogic sleep) to help you completely unwind and de-stress. You’ll leave the class feeling truly rested and restored. This class is suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, but is not suitable if you're pregnant and new to yin yoga.
