Join local Watercolour & Acrylic Artist, Helen Worthington for an experimental watercolour workshop. Since 2005, Helen has concentrated on producing spectacular artworks in a variety of media - acrylics, watercolour, line and wash, pastels, mixed media and, more recently, oil paints. Constantly renewing her interest in different forms of painting and subject matter has always been a driving force for her art projects to date. Helen describes herself as a ‘self-learning’ artist and is delighted to share her knowledge through workshops with you here at the studio. In this workshop, Helen will guide you through an a delicate and beautiful Watercolour Snowdrops painting. Delicate and beautiful Snowdrops are such a lovely herald of Spring! A full drawing of the Snowdrops will be provided for you on suitable watercolour paper, so you don’t need to worry about drawing them yourself. Instead, you can simply enjoy painting these pretty flowers. We’ll do a simple ‘warm-up’ exercise with the watercolours we’ll be using before we start on the Snowdrops, to give you the opportunity to choose/mix your preferred colours, test brushes and different application techniques for applying the paint. You’ll then be given guidance and tips on completing the painting during the rest of the session. Experience Level: Beginners to Intermediate. (Some experience of watercolours may be helpful, for example, if you’ve been on the ‘Watercolour Experience’ Workshop, but full instruction will be given to everyone during the session). Please don’t forget to bring something with you to carry your project home in – a small lidded tray or box will be fine otherwise all materials will be provided for you.
